The Precipice
For three years, I waited for the chance to create work like this again.
Three years of sacrifice.
Three years living out of my car.
Two separate times being robbed of nearly everything.
And still, I refused to let the vision die.
This piece marks the return of fabrication to my work for the first time in years as a leap into what I know I’m truly capable of creating. Being able to do this truly lifts the ceiling off of my potential artistically, in my career, and and in my life!
At the center sits a massive 6.85 carat trillion-cut lab created pink sapphire. In natural form, a stone like this would exist almost entirely out of reach for anyone who didnt own a yacht. This gemstone symbolizes access to quality and opportunity normally unreachable in the same way I worked my way to opportunity beyond my means.
Surrounding it:
Rhodolite garnets, Pink sapphires, Blue sapphire, Amethyst, Tanzanite, and a raw tanzanite that fractured during creation — but instead of discarding it, I preserved the terminated tip and built it into the piece anyway as a symbol of perseverance with what you have even after a loss and still using it to create top tier beauty anyway.
Wrapped and hamd fabricated in sterling silver
Because this pendant is about more than perfection.
It’s about perseverance.
Adaptation.
Dedication to a vision beyond your circumstance.
And earning the right to step through the next door in your life.
